As I stand at Ruby Beach, feeling the weight
Of the world's expectations, crushing my heart's fate
I think of Cottage Grove, where I once played as a child
And the memories of laughter and joy that never will be still

But now I'm moving along, leaving the past behind
Like a worn fabric, frayed and thin, it's hard to unwind
The threads of my heart, once strong and full of light
Now feel like brittle twine, about to snap in the winter's night

I dream of a house, warm and cozy as can be
Where I can escape the cold and rest my winter skin's plea
But for now, I'll take the road, and let the world unfold
And maybe someday, fireworks will light up the night's darkest hold

And though the journey's long, and the path unwinds like a scroll
I'll keep moving along, until my heart finds its goal.
