BIOGRAPHY
Before Hello Sunrise
It all started with four guys. Zen, Ericson, Dennis and Jack were musicians who frequently played songs together. Then sometime in 2010, Zen suggested that they should form a band. The others had agreed after many hours of planning, the name of their first band was, 80 Dollar Sunglasses because they all wore sunglasses that were 80 dollars.
Everything went smoothly and they were able to create a few songs. Unfortunately, the lack of activity, free time and interest led to the band’s break up. The band members were just taking a short break and when it was time again, they restarted their music careers.
The Beginning of Hello Sunrise
It was the start of summer 2011 and the band had found spare time to start a band again. This time, Ericson had suggested that they should drop their old style and try and experiment with different styles until they found one that fits and then work from there. The result was a brand new sound and they thought it worked well for the band.
It was difficult to start a band up again with a new style, but the band managed to work together. They improved their old songs and composed a few more songs which led to the release of their first album, “Cycles”.
Signing on to POM Records and the Release of Horizons
The band stayed low for a while. However, Cookies & Biscuits Records had closed down leaving the band without a label. Luckily, the band found out about the opening of the new label, POM Records and applied. Given their previous success, they quickly became one of the first bands to be on the label. For them, this was a step forward to becoming an even more successful band than before.
Their EP was republished and they were promoted. They quickly got back on their feet and continued to work hard. Eventually, they released their debut album, “Horizons” on January 2013. The album was praised by many pop punk fans and the band was satisfied with the release.
As of now, the band is currently going back and forth with work and play time but they are enjoying their lives and looking forward to the future.

MEMBERS
- Zen
Position: Rhythm Guitar
Zen is responsible for making many important decisions when it comes to making music with the band. He proposes many ideas to start with for a song and the rest of the band takes it from there. He’s a calm guy and is willing to cooperate with others. Zen is credited for his catchy and pop punk rhythms that help the other members in the band stay connected.
- Ericson
Position: Drums
Ericson is always seen as the guy with a bright personality. He can turn a dull and boring scene into an exciting scenario just with the hint of his smile. He helps Zen with some of the music and suggests his ideas to shape up the song and makes changes. Ericson can be said that he is an optimistic person and the chance of him turning sad or angry is very slim and when they say slim, it is very, very slim. Ericson is always looking forward to improving his drumming skill and is always open to criticism, even if it’s the meanest and nastiest comment.
- Dennis
Position: Bass
Dennis is usually quiet when he’s alone and barely talks when he’s with the band unless he is spoken too. He fills in the music with his bass lines and does the job though and that’s enough to satisfy the band. Dennis is very relaxed and keeps his cool very easily and is ever rarely mad and can be very tolerant. But when it comes to problems, he is willing to find a solution to the problems and end arguments as quickly as possible.
- Jack
Position: Lead Guitar
Jack is easily pissed off and always gets enraged every time a problem arises. Jack has a problem with others sometimes and if he’s pushed to a certain point, he tends to take action against them. In songs, his attitude and his energetic stage vibe are what lead the band through. He is more known for delivering his catchy and speedy guitar bits in some of the pieces the band composes which also drive the band in the songs.
