Biography
League of Nations is an American-based metalcore band from Hackensack, New Jersey. They formed in 2019 when three college students (Sam, Nigel, and Benny) formed a band after they all discovered each other at a 1st Assault concert. They decided to move into Sam's house and began playing together. Nigel came up with the name "League of Nations" for the band as all of them were from different countries. They played 2000s-style metalcore, and took inspirations from bands such as Killswitch Engage, Trivium, and Bullet For My Valentine. A few months later, a bassist by the name of Spencer D'Ascoli joined the band and got them their first gig: a local saloon. After a few gigs, they released a three-song EP called "Unificators". In that EP was a very raw version of "Dog Eat Dog", a song that would be on their first album. They soon became well known in Hackensack, but they knew something had to change.
After two years of playing with the band, Spencer left due to time complications. Thus, the band was again without a bassist and frontman. They remained this way for seven months, until Wyatt Lawson joined the band as the bassist and frontman. Wyatt was originally the bassist for a band called Armageddon on Earth, but he was kicked out and replaced by Adrian Townsend. Wyatt quickly changed the direction of the band, and in a few months time, they abandoned their melodic metalcore roots. In 2022, they released a live demo of "Knife Through The Spine", which garnered an impressive amount of views. They realized that they had a chance of getting signed, and in 2023, they released their debut album, "Worlds Collide".
