Plain Front
History:
Plain Front is a rock band from Toronto, Canada, inspired by American punk and metal, with a unique twist to their sound.
Sebastian (Lead Guitar/Frontman) pitched the idea for a band to his childhood friends Dominik (Drums) & Gus (Second Guitarist) as a joke, and that joke quickly came into reality mid to late 2018. Originally Plain Front was a trio band but Gus didn’t like playing bass and suggested it would be a good idea to have a second guitar to which Sebastian said that they didn’t have another bass player and did not like the idea at the time, later Sebastian was introduced to Cade (Bass) by Dominik and the two quickly became friends and turned out Cade knew how to play bass, Sebastian asked him to join and Cade said sure.
Plain Front would go on to do garage shows and small-time gigs with little success but would be decently well known in their area, that would change with the release of their debut EP titled A Super Secret Demo Tape housing the band's most popular songs at the time which were remastered to give it new life to the old fans who have already listened.
The band then worked on a successor for the Super Secret Demo Tape. Sebastian said in a recent interview :

The band then worked on a successor for the Super Secret Demo Tape. Sebastian said in a recent interview :
“My wishes for the album are to make it better than SSDT, and just write better songs because I'm not really proud of SSDT because a lot of the songs are songs we wrote in 2019, I'm still happy for it because it's brought a lot of success to me and to my best friends... And I want to thank everyone who’s helped us get here.”
The band would go on to release a single for a show they did called Fuck The Neighbors, which was a free show the band did at their apartment to piss off their neighbors as revenge for calling the police on the band. The show consisted of guests Special ED, City X, Alcatiea, and Faceless Culture. The live CD has yet to be released but is set to be released sometime after the summer. Next month, the band would do a split EP with League of Nations, which the Plain Front members respected highly, and following the release, the duo would go on to do a small tour around Canada during this time. The leadman and Drummer of Plain Front founded POM Basement Sessions, which allowed underground bands to get noticed by labels and hopefully signed, and first showed off a duo emo band called Camp Car Crash, whose front man was Sebastian Luken's brother Sebastian Luken, who has said that they have plans with a band called Necrosante. Finally, the band would release their debut studio album, Your Worst Enemy Is Yourself, which was released to high critical acclaim despite the band ditching their punk roots for a more experimental emo sound with some metal songs.
"It's a really long time since I've heard a band pull this all off so well. Incredible work." -Klex.
After the release of Your Worst Enemy Is Yourself, the band stated they would be going on a hiatus during the summer, with their reasoning being that Sebastian and Gus were getting into fights all the time and it was a toxic work environment for them, so they're taking a break to refresh, but confirmed they are not breaking up and have stated they have a new album in the works, which the band has said is going back to their roots, as well as a small EP for Your Worst Enemies unreleased songs. The band has also said the new album will be self-titled with 15 songs, with the project almost done.
