Late 2009 - Early 2010: When Everything Started
The band, different from some others, isn't made of childhood friends that born in the same city. Drew Santa Cruz (G1) were born in Mexico, and moved to Norman (Oklahoma). Philliph Johnson (G2) were born in Clearwater (Florida). Only Darius Samuel (Drums) and Fred Lenning (Bass) were born at the same city; Cape Coral (Florida) .The band is popularly known to have started in 2012 in LA, but it actually first started at Cape Coral. Philliph were born in a very poor family and traveled to the starting city to try to find a better life. The 3 musicians had different jobs, but Darius and Fred were the only ones that were friendly because they were from the same university. The 3 guys knew each other on a music forum and decided to compose a song. In a week, the band Nothing Personal were created. They composed a couple of songs that had a good return in regards to some money & fans and even a tour proposal sponsored by a local brand. The tour would cross 19 cities and were called ''The Centurion of The Century''.
2010 - July 2011 : The Tour
The tour, as mentioned before, was named ''The Centurion of The Century" and would cross 19 cities all around USA. It would even cross Norman, the city where Drew were living. He had a good life working at a music store and were already a fan of Nothing Personal. The other 18 cities had good venues and took 6 months of hard work but the last stop was a disaster-Fred's bass was stolen from the van where the instruments were. They had to buy a new one urgently and the closest place was the store Drew worked. When the band were selecting a bass in the store, Drew said he was a good guitarist and he might work with the band if they accepted. But instead of laughing at him, they even got happy with the idea. In less than 10 minutes they were ready for the show. The tour crossed 19 cities, took 6 months and it gave the band loads of fans and a good money.
August 2011 - 2012: Some Changes
These months were hard work for the band. They were with big plans to release an EP called Alternate. In an interview, Darius commented a lot about the album and the band's feelings about it saying ''Its a hell of an achievement for the band. Not only for me, not only for Fred, not only for anyone whose heart still beats. It's for us". While the band was composing a song called Minimalism, the bassist Fred Lenning (1981-2012) died of food poisoning in a meeting. His death were bad for everyone. Some time later, the new bassist, Marcus Ferroci joined the band.
Late 2012 - Present: Contract with POM Records
The band, now complete, has just been signed to POM Records with their debut album, a self-titled LP with 10 tracks. They are looking forward to feedback, new fans & making some money!
