The Divide Studios & POM Records are teaming up to bring you the I Can Help You Lose Your Mind Tour!
Headlined by Evening Sun with support from 1st Assault, Slacker Genius, Hello Sunrise, Faceless Culture, and others - The tour is coinciding with the release of Evening Sun's self-titled LP. Featuring three legs (Western - opened by ThisCityMustFall!, Midwestern - opened by Powerstars, and Eastern - opened by The Fist) and spanning over the course of six months; travels to many locations in both the United States and Canada. The tour is a cooperative effort between The Divide Studios and POM Records, of whom both are sponsoring the tour. Practically every concert on this tour is either 18 and up or 21 and up, mainly due to the presence of the profane, pugnacious group 1st Assault. The tour spans venues varying from down-home and small-time bars to stadiums, amphitheaters, and even the Palms Resort! The tour's happening will be followed by The Divides label owner and Evening Sun drummer Jaryd Owens on the ICHYLYM blog. Which will be up shortly.

Interview by Zenester (POM Records Agent)
Q. How do you guys feel today?

A. Feeling really good. Our manager is working on Faceless Fest, we're readying up for our Wanna Be Reckless tour!

Q. What's different about your latest album, "Wanna be Reckless" and your first album, "Untamed"?

A. Wanna Be Reckless has A LOT more tracks then Untamed, and we got some soft tracks in Wanna Be Reckless, and Untamed had no soft tracks.......

Q. Out of all songs on "Wanna be Reckless", which song would you say is your favorite?

A. I was going to say So Far Away, or It Remains II, but Fight Back is our most favorite!

Q. Where do you guys hope to go with your music, style-wise and career-wise?

A. All the way to the mother f*cking top! We hope to be the longest and best band on POM in the future. We're planning to go many directions!

Q. What should we expect from your music videos for this album?

A. Yeah, we have a video out for Broken Bones. We're not done yet, we'll still be coming at y'all with more. You will expect that we can do better, and we WILL do better.

Q. Who are some artists that you would like to collab with sometime?

A. 1st Assault for sure, ThisCityMustFall, and I'm also looking to collab with some singers, anybody out there!

Q. What are your favorite bands?

A. 1st Assault, ThisCityMustFall, Suicide By Spoon, Poetic, Spanky Revolution, and SECKS ROMP! I liked their song they used for BOTB 1

Q. How do you feel about performing on the Faceless Fest and Wanna be Reckless Tour?

A. Feel pretty good man. We're gonna go out there, and give the fans what we got! We'll leave them with their eyes wide open and sh*t in their pants!

Q. Any last words you would like to share with us?

A. Yes. To all the fans of FC out there, we're working on our CHRISTMAS ALBUM! It will be delivered to POM Records around December, and we're also working on our next album! We'll leave you a hint, it's gonna be a sequel from one of our previous albums.

Thanks to everyone for checking out the site, the bands & downloading music. We are keeping the POM community active, fun & interesting.

If you'd like to be a part of POM Records, please contract: Zenester or TraceofHatred

We have high standards & expectations because a lot of work goes into all of this and we are very active. We try hard to promote, distribute & develop the bands on our label. So if you don't get accepted, keep trying; improve your songs, improve your band, etc.  We like really active & dedicated bands and only want the best!   -TheGhostofRickJames

Review | The Random Factor - Random

Review by Powerstars
Normally, I don’t like songs longer than 3 minutes. Why? Cause they get too dang long and repetitive! The Random Factor throws all that out the window with their debut album, “Random!” Let’s check it out! First off, they give every instrument its turn! I love how they gives the bass a chance to shine in tracks like “Betrayer Of Hope". They really knows what to do with that thing! Also, the drums occasionally get the spotlight, in songs like “Shattering Illusions". The rhythm is also really crunching in the heavier stuff. I have to say, my favorite songs on the album are the heavier ones like “A Paradise That Never Was"; Those are really cool!

Now, I can’t pick an overall favorite. They’re all too good! Another cool thing they did was have certain songs segue into one another like “A Paradise That Never Was” into “The Darkest Of Dreams". I really look forward to the rest of their stuff, considering the great job they've done on this album! If there’s one thing I didn’t like, it’s that the album itself started boring me after a while.

The Random Factor, if you’re reading this, here’s something you should work on. For the love of all things holy, make some songs with more original bridges! By the end of the album, I felt those coming from a mile away! Mix a up a bit! Other than that, the album was really good.

So, lets rate this bad boy!
Creativity: 9/10
Musicianship: 10/10
Enjoyability: 9.5/10
Overall Grade: 9.5/10
