So we've all read about the ongoing case and tragic story of MentalTea's bassist. And there's been some speculation going on, even though there are suspects who have admitted their involvement. For whatever reason, the band Special Ed has been thrown into the mix. Curse who ever did that! It's nonsense. But nonetheless, the band has made a statement.
After everything that has been said recently about the bassist John, the band has decided that they will take a step back from music for a little bit while they work with their team (quite literally their parents) on a response to the allegations, any music already made could be released as singles in the meantime while all of the investigations from the police are sorted. We will keep you updated on how everything is going. Have a special February.
-Jaka (Special Ed Band Manager)
We've just got confirmation that after a very solid about... 2 hours or so.. of grieving, the band MentalTea has found a replacement for their fallen comrade. This marks the first time a moustache has appeared with the band. Which is quite exciting. Google bassists with moustaches and see what we mean.
The new bassist is a Texas born, true red blooded American named White Will, aged 39. He also tried out for the band Metallica but got rejected when he didn't agree with them on the whole Napster thing back in the day. But anyway, there's absolutely nothing suspicious or strange about having a replacement ready to go right after the unexpected and unplanned, senseless and tragic loss the band has suffered. It's not like it was scripted or anything.
Anyway, we at POM Records welcome aboard the new bassist (who has not signed a contract, thus not paid or under our legal protection) and look forward to more music from the band.
NEWS | Tragedy and Intrigue in Transylvania's Music Scene: MentalTea Bassist Murdered in Conspiracy Involving Rival Band
TRANSILVANIA - Transylvania's music scene is rocked by shocking tragedy and intrigue as a conspiracy involving members of rival band Öt Vonal (Five Lines) is revealed in the brutal murder of MentalTea bassist Inka Pál. Each member of Öt Vonal now faces different implications in this case that shakes the structures of local music.
Father's admission of guilt: Inka Ferenc, Inka Pál's father, admitted during police questioning to murdering his own son with three stab wounds to the chest. The authorities continue to investigate the motives behind this horrifying act.
Statements from the band Öt Vonal (Five Lines)
Gyors Ibolya (Guitarist): Gyors Ibolya admitted to hiring Inka Pál's father to commit the crime, claiming that other members of Öt Vonal were also involved. His confession sheds light on dark rivalries between the bands.
Gerebenes Lajos (Bassist): Öt Vonal's bassist, Gerebenes Lajos, provided a convincing alibi, claiming that he was not in the country when the murder took place. The authorities are checking this information to confirm his innocence.
Okos Kinga (Vocalist): Surprisingly, Öt Vonal's vocalist Okos Kinga has admitted to taking part in the crime, but claims not to have been directly involved. Her confession further complicates the investigation.
The band MentalTea issued a statement in response to the revelations.
1st Assault has been on hiatus for about 10 years now. Everyone in the band has had all kinds of issues after all the friendships broke down for various reasons. Ya know, the usual stuff, like drug abuse, petty fights, CIA mind control and various other excuses to not meet their contractual obligations.
But the band very recently come back together, through Zoom Yoga Chakra healing & meditation sessions sponsored by a rehab facility.
So, I will be busy focusing on finishing the legacy of the band with an actual release of Windy City Takeover.
Then we'll figure out what happens to POM Records, etc.
