Word just got out that the Plain Front bassist Cade Caldwell left the band. We asked Cade himself, and he said it was because of creative differences, and they all have no bad blood with each other and are still friends. Former bassist for the band, Gus Farmer is retaking his role. Cade had filled in for a number of years (2020-2024). This is interesting news since the band just released a teaser for their next album on their YouTube channel. Fans are left wondering how big of a role, or not the change will have on their upcoming music.

This album has a rocky history dating back to early 2023, when the band wanted to release the album as their debut on POM Records. It eventually got scrapped in favor of the band's hit album, Your Worst Enemy Is Yourself. Reflecting the dark place the members were in, specifically lead guitarist and drummer Sebastian Lukens and Dominik Roylance, the band would eventually take a break after the success of their debut project, and because former rhythm guitarist Gus Farmer and Sebastian were getting into fights and it got to the point where nobody was ready to make new music. But after some time, working through things, the band would later come back after their short hiatus, teasing their sophomore album and a rarities EP for Your Worst Enemy is Yourself. The early setlist for the album was said to have 15 songs, which members later said were going to be cut down due to some of the songs being mediocre to the stuff they could make. But then while working on the final process, during the final weeks of production of the album, former guitarist Gus Farmer would be kicked from the band, stating that he was not good to work with and would rather be drunk than record and take pictures for the band. Gus would later be replaced by Owen Opton. All of this is to say, that there was a lot going on around this album. But it is here now and ready for download! Grab it today! We just got good news that Plain Front replaced their rhythm guitarist after they kicked out ex-member Gus Farmer. Their new member is an old friend of frontman Sebastian Lukens; introducing.... *drum roll*...... Owen Opton as the new Plain Front rhythm guitarist! The band thought they'd add more good news and excitement by giving fans the setlist for their upcoming self-titled album! ![]() Tracks 1: Devils Advocate III 2: Life is like a bag of trail mix, you're the m&ms, i'm the nuts, and your parents are the rasins. 3: Someone New 4: Resistance 5: We Shall Rebel 6: happiness is what you set out to be 7: From The Heart (Plain Front Remix) 8: Father 9: Dystopian Dystopia 10: Wake 11: The Reject 12: Devils Slayer Forget about the drama that just happened with the band and let's move forward with the 2nd single release from the band!
Randy: Is the album going to be delayed? Sebastian: No, we are almost finished with it any, so I will be finishing the remaining guitar parts. Randy: Do you have someone to replace Gus currently? Sebastian: No, but we'll find someone. Randy: Why was Gus kicked out of the band? Sebastian: Because he is an asshole and doesn't have a good work ethic, he likes to show up drunk to record. Wen he decided to show up, we even had to cancel the album cover shoot multiple times because of him, so yeah, we don't like someone who's a pain in the ass to work with. He's still our friend, but this sh*t is ridiculous, and we can't take it anymore. Randy: We have rumors that some people from other bands will replace Gus. Sebastian: Those are rumors, and they aren't true. We don't have anyone to replace Gus, like I mentioned earlier, but we'll find someone new. Randy: We'll whatever happens, I'm sure the fans will understand and look forward to what the band brings in the near future. |
