Since their debut studio album was a smashing success, Plain Front is back, coming out with their new self-titled album sometime next year. We heard the band had some internal struggles, but we got word that it's all sorted out now. Not much is known about the album besides that it will be a return to form for the band, going back to their early punk roots, and that it should be coming out sometime next year. We should have an album cover sometime next month. The band stated that with the release of the album cover, they will also release a single, so we're excited to hear what the tone of the album will be. - Randy (POM Records)

Wassup ALCATEIA, welcome to the POM Records podcast! ALCATEIA is the Brazilian metal band, part musicians, part wolves, making waves here on the label and have just recently released their EP called SURVIVE. The band has also recently discussed some information about their vocalist. We wanted to hear more about the band and this release. So today we have two of their members here to chat a bit. ![]() Hi guys, it's just me and Gabriel, Bruno and David went to Manchester, England, for our next plans. ![]() Hi guys, we're happy to be here again. ![]() Last time we heard from Alcateia, you released the heavy as hell C.O.F.F.I.N album in collaboration with Objctve. Tell us about that. Did that have any influence on your latest release SURVIVE? ![]() Yes, we did, we actually took some ideas from Coffin and Eternal Torment for the songs Bleed and Survive, but we were more focused on making Nu Metal. ![]() Tell us about the song writing process on SURVIVE and the concept behind the album. What was it like? ![]() We started coming up with ideas for the songs on the EP 3 months ago. We wrote Bleed first, then Conflict, and we thought of a whole EP focused on Nu Metal and feelings like the conflicts we have in our lives, the pain a liar feels after his consequences hit him and things like that. About the main track, we wrote it after Bryan went to the clinic to quit his addictions, that was a month ago. ![]() We heard the news about Bryan. How is the rest of the band doing? It seems like some rough times but also very good times too because SURVIVE is getting good reviews by fans & the media. We also saw songs being played on POM TV. How have fans been treating this release? ![]() The rest of us are fine, we don't have so many problems with drugs, we only drink alcohol, but Arthur would drink alcohol if he could. (laughs) ![]() (*Shows middle finger to Gabriel and smiles*) Well, our fans are enjoying the EP, we're happy about that, and we have other plans to release this year, and our next release isn't far away. ![]() What are the next plans for the band? ![]() Well, our next plans for the band are a new release, we won't reveal too much about it, but we think you'll like it. ![]() Thank you for this talk with us here at POM RECORDS. What's a message you want to leave for anyone reading? ![]() All I want to say is that Arthur is.... very flamboyant.. ![]() Look who's talking, broom hair! (laughs) ![]() Okay, seriously, we want to say: we love you. ![]() Thank you for all your support and thank you for inviting us to this podcast. ![]() You can grab Alcateia's EP, SURVIVE by clicking the download button below. Thanks to Alcateia for the chat and POM Records for signing the band, hah! 11 years ago Faceless Culture released Wanna Be Reckless on the label and has been kicking ass ever since. Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/5RsjLEic9KZ2EdvIMyLN8X Alcateia has some good and bad news, alongside a new group photo! Here's Gabriel Furiti, the band's bassist with their message: We have good news and bad news for you. The good news is that we will be active again, playing some shows in our city and maybe in the United States or Canada. But the bad news is that we will be without Bryan for months for a good reason: he was taking drugs all the time, addicted to drugs like cocaine and methamphetamine since he was 16. Recently in one of these crises, he tried to take control of the band by taking Arthur out of charge and after seven days without leaving the house and getting high on alcohol and illicit drugs he apologized to Arthur and said he was going to check himself into rehab. Until he gets out of there, we'll be releasing songs without vocals; he's promised to practice at the clinic in his spare time, and we dedicated the song Survive from our last release to Bryan, wishing him the strength to survive this damn addiction, we have something planned to release this year, see you soon. Be sure to grab Alcateia's latest release, SURVIVE, a 5-track EP and leave a comment! GENRE: METALTracklist
