 Forget about the drama that just happened with the band and let's move forward with the 2nd single release from the band!
Randy: Is the album going to be delayed? Sebastian: No, we are almost finished with it any, so I will be finishing the remaining guitar parts. Randy: Do you have someone to replace Gus currently? Sebastian: No, but we'll find someone. Randy: Why was Gus kicked out of the band? Sebastian: Because he is an asshole and doesn't have a good work ethic, he likes to show up drunk to record. Wen he decided to show up, we even had to cancel the album cover shoot multiple times because of him, so yeah, we don't like someone who's a pain in the ass to work with. He's still our friend, but this sh*t is ridiculous, and we can't take it anymore. Randy: We have rumors that some people from other bands will replace Gus. Sebastian: Those are rumors, and they aren't true. We don't have anyone to replace Gus, like I mentioned earlier, but we'll find someone new.  Today we have Plain Front here for an interview and to show off the new album cover for their upcoming self-titled album, which is set to release in January.
Sebastian: 12 Dominik: We originally wanted to do around 20 to 15, but then we lost focus on the project and started recording YWEIYS. Sebastian: Yeah, and when we went back to it, we were like, these songs are pretty fucking terrible. *everyone laughs* Sebastian: So we kept songs we liked and recorded new ones. Randy: So what was the goal with this album? Gus: A Back to Our Roots Project. Sebastian: Yeah, we wanted to go back to our punk and metal roots after our debut album, so one half of the album is like that, with the other half still being close to our roots but with more of the YWEIYS style and sound. Randy: Will there be a story like the last one? Sebastian: Not really, no. Cade: Yeah, kinda... I mean, the album gets split into two parts for the more punk stuff and the newer sound, so sort of yes and no on both parts. Randy: What happened to the EP you guys were going to release that had the unreleased songs from YWEIYS? Sebastian: We put them into this album for the second half. Randy: Alright, last question: do you guys think that this next album will top your last? Sebastian: In some aspects, yes, but in terms of being a better album, that's up for the people to decide. I think we're all personally happy with it, but I think we all agree that YWEIYS is our masterpiece and can't really be topped in that aspect. Dominik: It's pretty rare for a band to really blow up with their debut album, like Pearl Jam, Panic at the Disco, or Weezer- Gus: We basically stole their album cover, by the way. *the band laughs* Dominik: But yeah, it's rare for bands to blow up on their first album, so for those reasons, it's a masterpiece, and we were happy to see people agree since we were worried we would lose fans because of it, but we were happy to see people liked the new style we went with.
