Alcateia is practicing this weekend. Bryan, the new vocalist, is still learning growl vocals, as he just learned clean vocals. But David wrote this entire song, in loving memory of his dead cousin, the song is named Heritage. He miss his cousin so much that he cried while doing the solo.
Check out more about this Brazilian metal band on their band page. CONSIDERING HOW MUCH WE PAY THESE DUDES (...nothing), THEY'RE HERE TO (contractually) UPDATE EVERYONE ABOUT WHAT THEY'RE UP TO!
Alcateia is in the studio with their newest band member, Bryan Camargo, who is taking on the vocalist role. The band is preparing a sick new album after their Demo & EP, which was released under Industrial Records. The booze are definitely flowing while having a good time since all the members are long-time good friends. The scene is definitely excited to hear what this nu-metal inspired band from Brazil will be releasing especially with their new vocalist.
Randy: You guys signed to POM Records recently and got a lot of attention, in fact you are the most popular page on the site. How it is? David: It's a feeling of relief and accomplishment. But we're only at the beginning, there's a lot ahead of us. Arthur: For me it's a feeling of responsibility, because we have to deliver what people expect from Alcateia, and our idea is to make a sound inspired by Nu-Metal and Alternative Metal. Randy: So Plain Front really pissed off their neighbors and you guys are going to Canada to do the show with them. This is amazing and kind of crazy. Seriously, "Fuck the neighbors" haha. Tell us about it! Bruno: I think it will be a new and amazing experience that will make us improve our albums more and more. Gabriel: I'm excited for this, I'm really going to enjoy playing with the Plain Front guys, City X, Special Ed and Faceless Culture. Thank you Plain Front for inviting us! Randy: What's next for you guys? You guys have a lot to prove because there's a lot of good Brazilian metal out there, like The Divine Grace Beyond Gravity on The Corner. People are excited to hear your howls, I mean vocals! Arthur: Well... the Demo with vocals will have 4 songs, Fuck The World and Mute from the EP and two new tracks with lyrics inspired by Death and Black Metal, Help Me and Black Priest, they said we're going to play Mute, Help Me and Black Preist at the Plain Front show, I'm really looking forward to it as it's going to be our first live show. Randy: Alright, be sure to be at that show, cuz come on, it's @$#*ing FREE! Plain Front has recently announced a live show titled "F**K THE NEIGHBORS!!!" stating that during the recording of their debut studio album "Your Worst Enemy Is Yourself," neighbors have constantly called the cops on them for playing "loud". After being nice and trying to reason with the neighbors, Plain Front announced this show. They also released this single with the same title created for the teaser on the Plain Front YouTube channel. Special guests are: Special ED, City X, Alcateia, & Faceless Culture. The show is being hosted in Toronto, Canada at Plain Front's garage (Mad Dog Lane). Entry into the show is free but food and drinks aren't free. Riot! Fight! Mosh!
